Letterform Anatomy Freestyle

A little warmup exercise inspired by Type Camp, to learn the proper terms for type talk. It hangs on the wall in my studio so it can seep into my brain a little bit every day.

Aria Antiques

Some beautifully hand lettered book covers found on the $1 table at Aria in North Beach. The guys who own this place have been there for 15 years and host a book arts salon every month or so.
Look at the "L F T" design on 'Delft'. three letters that are so difficult to put together. Genius!
